Animal's Revolt

DESCRIPTION
In the project called “Animal's Revolt”, I painted and dressed myself as animals with wounds caused by humanity to let people understand what it feels like to be abandoned or harmed as animals are. Nowadays, animals can be treated as objects instead of lives. Instead of saying, “we hurt animals”, I believe animals should have a voice that says, “we have been hurt by humans”.
Therefore, I, painted as an animal, could voice the anger from the animal’s perspective. I wore half-cut deer horns and used Native American patterns on my face to show the anger of being robbed of horns. I messed up my hair with withered leaves and rubbed my face with mud and dirt to express the feeling of being abandoned as a street cat.
I also used the similar idea to paint a deep wound on a person’s back to show the pain of a shark being cut of its fin. I highlighted the cruel action through waves of bright colors and a delightful, yet satirical song. And ironically point out though it looks like we are conquering others successfully, by hurting the ecosystem, we are actually harming ourselves as well.
